  Even though I am a teacher, I really love learning new things. I had the opportunity to transition into a new role as a computer science teacher, which requires different training than what I had as a math teacher. I am really so grateful to donorschoose and the donors who gave me the opportunity to attend this conference so that my students could have a fully prepared teacher. There was no funding at my school to cover the cost of the conference so this was an opportunity that I would not have been afforded if not for this program.

  I saw the newest educational technology and was immediately able to implement much of what I learned when I returned to the school. Thank you again for you kind donation. It did not go to waste!”

• Basics, Baby!

  Thank you so much for your donation. We were able to use the materials to have a successful school year last year. Because of your generosity, we wee one of the few classrooms that did not have to worry about having enough makers to deliver instruction. We also had multiple colors which made the lesson so much more clear and vibrant. We had chart paper so that we could work all around the room and this was helpful in posting student work for all to see!

• Empowering Students Through Art Writing Project

To see the students' faces when they receive the materials is PRICELESS! It is truly touching that members of the community care enough to give to children they have never met. So again, I sincerely thank you!

  This project was instrumental in implementing a meditation through color workshop that the students really enjoyed. It allowed them to relax and express themselves in ways that sometimes were not possible verbally.”

  I have several students who are interested in photography as a career. Using this camera has been a motivating factor in helping them to keep up both their grades and attendance. It also allows students to develop a sense of the world around them while building their sense of artistry.”
