Funded Jun 26, 2024Ms. Carey, thank you for making this donation to help me improve my classroom. The first thing we put into use were the Sharpies. I had students label their materials using the color Sharpie to match with their color coded table. The purple Sharpies were a big hit, possibly because they are not so common, that other students wanted to use them too.
We have used the Play-Doh once to count items as part of a math activity and another to use it in a social emotional lesson. Using the Play-Doh students were told to show how they felt. I plan to do this lesson more often, because students enjoy it and it brings a positive vibe to the class.
I also want to tell you about the pencil bags. Matilde bought pencil boxes and we use those for the classroom. The pencil bags are used for students to keep their writing utensils in their backpacks for their homework. The students loved their bags, I told them they were a gift from you. Thanks again. I hope you are well and you keep making a difference for someone.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Sandoval
