Integrating Technology into the Art Curriculum

My students are so thankful and excited to have this new mini iPad. The iPad you have donated will help my students on a daily basis. It is an amazing addition to our classroom. They will have an opportunity to collaborate, share their creations with their peers, and critique each others work. We will use it in small group and whole group instruction to reinforce the foundational skills each child needs to succeed in Language Arts and Mathematics. This iPad mini will help each student in our class ranging from a variety of levels. It will allow us to use all different kinds of applications and websites that are such a wide range of topics that the students are able to practice. From topics like vowel sounds and blends/digraphs to place value and adding money. They will have so much fun working with the iPad, taking their own picture, use their own art or photos as inspiration for writing.

Without your generosity and help, my students never would have had these vital resources. For students who are learning how to develop the necessary skills to read, write, and think critically, these resources are essential and are truly setting my students up for academic success.”
