Power Math
Funded Aug 14, 2024I wanted to take a moment to extend my heartfelt thanks for the Power Pen Math Centers. The positive impact they have had on our classroom is truly remarkable. The interactive nature of the program has engaged students in a way that traditional methods couldn't, fostering both independence and confidence in their math skills.
Not only have the Power Pens made math practice more enjoyable, but they've also allowed for personalized learning. Students are able to work at their own pace, immediately receiving feedback, which has been instrumental in reinforcing key concepts. As a result, I've noticed a significant improvement in both understanding and enthusiasm for math in my students.
The hands-on approach, combined with the instant feedback provided by the Power Pens, has transformed our math center time into an exciting learning experience. It's incredible to see students so eager to dive into math problems, knowing they'll receive immediate confirmation of their efforts. This interactive learning tool has undoubtedly sparked a new level of curiosity and motivation in the classroom.
Thank you again for providing such an effective and engaging tool that supports student learning. Your contribution has made a lasting difference, and we are so grateful for the positive impact it has had.”

Funded Mar 18, 2024Today we got our new privacy screens, book shelf, headphones today. In one day I could already see a difference in the attitudes of my students. Many of them had trouble paying attention when given assignments and needed a tool that would allow them to refocus. The students were able to listen to videos that are related to the lesson and use that to complete the assignments.
The student were so excited to use the new material and as we used them the student were focused on the tasks and lessons they needed to do. The students were first introduced to the privacy screens while developing a piece of writing. We will continue to use the privacy for upcoming tests and assignments.”

Using our Senses to Learn and Play
Funded Nov 29, 2022Thank you again for your donation to our classroom. The students were so excited to be exploring and learning with the new materials. We started by using the textured brushes to make Christmas trees. They had so much fun. using the textured brushes to paint the trees green.
Then they got to build with the magna tiles and create buildings, houses, and lots of other structures with the tiles. One of the Magna tiles looks like a car and they love rolling it around and putting blocks on it to see if it can still roll on the classroom floor.
The students also received stuffed letters. The stuffed animals are now the mascot for the letter of the week that is part of our morning meeting. They love learning their letters and playing with the stuffed letters.”

Funded Nov 30, 2022Pre-K is a time where students create hands on learning projects so that they can understand the world around them. The Students will use different mediums to create projects that are designed for them to be immersed into different experiences using the supplies your donations were able to procure. I thank you for helping my students to learn about where they live by creating projects with the supplies from your donations. An example of a project we will complete is to create a model of the house or apartment that they live in. They were so excited to use the new materials and they can't wait to continue to use the materials as we create even more projects for them to do.”

Listening Center
Funded Dec 19, 2011I would like to thank all of the wonderful donors who helped this project become reality. As we are now in the age of technology it only makes sense to incorporate it into the learning environment. The students in my class enjoy all of the different forms of technology and have developed a deep respect for all types of media.
My class has already shown that the use of the listening center that you have created has improved their skills immensely. The students that your gifts have touched are improving their communication skills by having the ability to listen to text as well as follow it in their books. This combination allows them to improve their library of vocabulary that they can draw upon in both the spoken and written forms”
