Help Me Reward Student Kindess!
Funded Aug 2, 2023The students are excited about having a chance to earn a Kindness Kritter for their desk. Two students are selected each week who have shown kindness in the class or on the yard. They draw an animal from a jar, but they can't see what they are getting. This way, the students know it was fate that decided which animal they should have as a desk pet.
It took a while to get the program started since the orginal items for Lakeshore were unavailable. Replacements were selected from Amazon. With that order, they were some snaggs again, and part of the order was not available. This happened a copy times with Amazon. Thankfully, I know have all the orders as of a few days ago.
The students who have received the Kindness Kritters proudly display them on their desk. Some students have already been selected twice which makes them really happy. It is great to see them light up when they get their Kindness Kritter. Not all students have had a chance yet to receive a Kindness Kritter since the materials had to be reordered, but momentum is building quickly.
Thanks again for funding the project. I could not have started the Kindness campaign without generous donation.”
With gratitude,
Mr. O'Neill

Funded Jan 24, 2012This is just a small token of my gratitude for your generous donation to my classroom. The tablet is a wonderful addition to the learning center that I use with elementary students at SOCES. I am excited about finding new apps to use with students to supplement there learning. We have found several apps for math that create flashcards that test and tract student success. Sumdog is another free site that has proved fun to play yet educational as well. Khan Academy is another site that is used often to reteach lessons on-line and can be used for assessment as well.
As you know, our school and district are currently facing a budget shortfall, so without your help, my students would never have had this important piece of technology.
Without donors like you, thousands of classrooms in the United States would go without updated technology. Thank you for your support!”
With gratitude,
Mr. O'Neill
