Happy Healthy Sparkly Teeth
Funded Sep 4, 2023Thank you again for funding our project! These materials will enhance our tooth unit, and will help the students get to learn how to keep their teeth and gums healthy through a fun and engaging way.
They were so excited in learning that we would have new books and learning tools that they could use and explore with. They were very intrigued with the giant teeth model which they will have an opportunity to practice flossing and brushing teeth correctly.
The idea that the tooth fairy will come to their house is always exciting for kids and the books and fun stories will help engage the students in learning through play and exploration how to keep their teeth healthy and clean.”

Funded May 9, 2023I can not thank you enough for funding our reading project! The kids were so excited to have new books to read and explore. Reading Can be a challenge in kindergarten but these books help with phonic instruction and allow the students to read with more fluency and accuracy since they are able to decode the words and patterns in the words. I have small reading groups that target skills and these allow for more practice to review. I am able to show them a word pattern and have books that they can use to see the pattern in stories. Thank you again for helping me instill the love of reading.”

Funded May 10, 2023Thank you so much for donating to our project. The students were so excited to know that they would be getting material to bring our science project to life. They enjoyed the books and learning more about the Monarchs migration and how important they are to our ecosystem. They made connections with life cycles of both butterfly and seedling to plant. These models helped with drawing out and sequencing for some of our English Learners. They loved using the stem flower towers and seeing how high their flowers could grow. I am very grateful for your time in funding our project. Thank you again for helping make science fun for our class.”

Funded Sep 21, 2020First and foremost thank you for donating to our class. The air pods have helped so much in this new distance learning adventure with my kiddos. Being at home and trying to connect with them all had been at times a challenge. Not so much because they are young but due to the fact that internet stability has been a big issue on both mine and their side.
I had wanted to try the air pods so I could have more mobility in my working area, much like in the classroom. Before we got these I was always near my laptop so I could hear them clearly. Making it a bit hard to be part of their dance and theater class. Now I am able to move around with them keeping them more engaged with the performing arts teachers teach us their dances, since I can model for them from a distance and not have to always be so close to the laptop.
Since I can leave my chair and try to mimic what I do in the classroom, I feel that I can provide much more engaging lessons. Being able to hear their voices through static and frozen screens has helped a lot. Thank you so much for helping us out during this challenging and at times very interesting school year.”

Funded Jan 30, 2012On behalf of my entire class we would like to thank all of you for supporting our class project. The students were able to access the apps and found that while they had fun playing around with the words and putting together rhyme puzzles they were actually learning. With the help of the tablets the students were able to have some one on one time and enjoy learning in a different format. I thank you for the opportunity to help me expose the students to a new way of thinking and problem solving. We did have a few problems with getting the tablets to work and connect to the Internet however, in the end the students were able to work through it. We did have an IPad and the kids were able to compare and contrast how one would be better then the other. Many of you have tablets and IPads at home so they were familiar with the technology but I hope that with the use we had in class the students will see that it can also be used as a learning tool. Thank you once again for allowing us to have fun learning and working together.”
