Hello, I am a first grade teacher in a large urban school district. I teach my students with materials on a very tight budget. This school year, my District is making very deep and extremely damaging cuts - so there is no money for anything new and innovative. There are so many things that my students need in order to compete in the 21st century workforce. It is hard to help them to be academically successful when I do not have the basic supplies that many of our counterpart suburban districts provide to their students. So I am asking Donorschoose donors to please read my projects and consider supporting my proposals. With your help, I can provide my students with the materials and supplies that will help them reach their potential. I know my students can achieve and be anything they want to be. They have all the dreams, all I need is the supplies to support them and put them on the road to success!!!!
