Plan It -- Succeed in It
Funded Jan 24, 2023When my students received their planners, they were first excited by the contents of them, such as the stickers or the inspirational quotes mentioned in each month. Then, they began recording their assignments and checking off their completion, which improved their organizational skills tremendously. Many students who would forget their notebooks or homework at home became better organized and more diligent about their work.
Parents seemed to enjoy the planners the most. During parent conferences, I explained to them how the planners will be used so they could monitor their child progress. For struggling students, I told parents to check for my initials on the assignments submitted, so they can encourage their children to submit work that might not have been done on time.
Even though the planners are designed for the 2023 calendar year only, I will continue to try and get funding to purchase more planners in the following years. Your contribution to this project this year has made a huge impact on students' ability to organize their work, meet deadlines, and be overall successful.”

Funded Jan 23, 2012Thank you so much for the kindness you have made proof of when you decided to donate to my project and make a difference for my students! The supplies bought through your generosity have helped my classroom environment and made learning more fun!
My students have used the materials as they worked on projects such as a mandala for "The Kite Runner", a collage after the reading of "The Stranger," or posters in response to "The Things They Carried." The magnetic calendar has kept us all on track with assignments due dates, birthdays, or important events at our school.
Please, continue to be kind and support our education in any way you can. I am hoping my students will continue to benefit from acts of kindness such as yours.”

Funded Dec 22, 2011I want to thank you for the generosity and support you have made proof of through your generous donation. The materials that have been purchased as a result of your contribution have been valuable resources for my teaching over the last 2 months.
During our unit on the novel The Stranger, I have used the Student Packet booklet that you helped provide for my students. The activities that the book contained ranged from comprehension questions to multiple choice questions, graphic organizers aimed at evaluating character development, features of absurd literature, or use of literary device, to essay writing prompts. The structure of these activities has proved student friendly, but also challenging enough for an honors level.
The copies of Macbeth have also proved a valuable resource for my students who had the possibility to read some scenes at home, not in class, due to the "No Fear Shakespeare" format which provides students with a translation from Old English to modern English. That saved us some time in class which was put to better use through discussions and writing activities in which students proved their understanding of the text.
My students and I are thankful for your donation and we hope that you will continue to support our school by giving each student access to a rigorous and valuable education. As a teacher, I am committed to using the resources you have provided in the best way possible for my students. ”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Ciuperca
