Distance Learning has definitely been a challenge. Great teaching practices always entail multi-tasking but this has become much more difficult when all the kids are on my tiny screen instead of a large classroom. Watching all the different Zoom windows while also watching what they are seeing is quite stressful. Some students respond verbally, some by "reactions", some by typing in the chat, and some by raising their hand. Trying to keep track of all students, sending receiving messages, etc. is even a greater challenge with only one screen. Students need to be called on, responded to, and noticed quickly. Having two screens will help me keep them focused and on task.
