  • We Need An Elmo Document Reader!

    Funded Mar 16, 2012

    Dear Donors,

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your generous donation to my classroom. The Elmo Reader Camera is helping my students present amazing and vivid projects. My students with learning disabilities are learning with visuals and everything makes more sense to them because most of them need visual aids to construct meaning. All my students have created 3D display projects and they take pride presenting them because the Reader Camera can project their hard work. My AP classes have vivid presentations as well. I'm very delighted to see my students take advantage of all the different uses/help that it offers. I feel very proud to see my students complete their assignments and present it with such enthusiasm.

Thanks for your kind contributions and support! You are positively impacting the learning of many students, keeping them engaged and making a difference in education

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Tovar

My students attend a Title I school that is located in a low-socio economic neighborhood. Our school has been negatively impacted by budget cuts and has survived with school supplies donated by a religious organization. Asking for supplemental materials is a luxury that we can not have. Since Spanish is not a core subject, we are not even offered an opportunity to order materials to engage students in learning.
