Move Over! A Bigger Carpet So We All Can Fit
Funded Dec 21, 2011Thank you so much for your generosity. I am so excited to get to use this carpet in my classroom. A crowded carpet created so many unnecessary distractions during our day. This new carpet will really help us use all of our time in the most effective way possible.
This is such a wonderful gift to be able to give my students as we return from winter break. I can't wait to see their faces when they see it. A carpet may seem like a little thing, but it will make a big difference in our day-to-day. Thank you so much!”

Books! Books!
Funded Dec 18, 2011Thank you so much. It is such a wonderful holiday gift to see my project funded. My students will be so pleased to see new books when we return from break. I can't wait to see their faces when they see them. It is donors like you who help teachers meet the needs of their students every day. This was a wonderful need to fulfill--students who need harder books!
I hope you have a wonderful holiday season, and thank you so much for your generosity. ”

Comfy Cozy Library Corner
Funded Oct 5, 2010Thank you so much for your generous donation. These chairs and the canopy are going to make our classroom library so inviting. I am sure my students will be so motivated to go and read with these chairs.
I cannot wait see my students snuggled up in these comfy chairs reading their favorite books. First grade is the time when lifelong reading habits begin to form; this is when we make readers.
Thank you again for helping me to instill a love of reading in my students.”

Leveled Books Are "Just Right" For Us!
Funded Jan 1, 2010Thank you so much for your donation that made it possible for my students to receive NEW books! I cannot tell you how excited they were to see boxes of brand new books being unloaded. They pick books that are "just right" and stock a bag from which they read for one week. Now they have a greater variety of books and a bigger quantity in their bags. That means they are more engaged in their reading every day which means they are becoming stronger readers!
Thank you so much for your contribution. We appreciate it more than you can know!”

Co-teaching Needs A Carpet To Create Learning Space!
Funded Dec 19, 2009Thank you so much for your gift that allowed us to receive a carpet. Having a carpet for this space in our room has opened up so many opportunities for my students. Now, when a co-teacher wants to lead a small group within the classroom, they have a space to do so! When a student wants somewhere cozy and quiet to work or read, they have somewhere to go! The kids love it; they call it the "sunshine rug."
We very much appreciate your support. I thank you on behalf of my students and me. ”

An Easel for Easy-Access Reading and Writing!
Funded Dec 10, 2009Thank you so much for your donations that made it possible for my classroom to receive an easel. I cannot begin to explain what a difference this gift has made. Instead of complaining that they cannot see what I am writing, they are engaged and participating actively.
Not only do my students love lessons when I am using the easel, but they also love the chance to use it themselves. There is not much that is more empowering to a six year old than getting a chance to use a "teacher marker" and write on the white board!
Thank you so much for this gift which has made learning so much easier for my wonderful students!”

First Grade Focus
Funded Dec 19, 2009Thank you so much for your donation. The dividers have made a world of difference in our classroom. It is so much easier for my first graders to focus on their independent work now. They are especially helpful during independent work time and reading time.
Six and seven year olds are easily distracted, and these dividers really make it easier for them to do their jobs at schools. They also make the teachers' jobs easier, because we're certain that a student's work is their own, and we can then make accurate decisions about what to teach each student next.
I thank you again for your donation and your support of Donors Choose.”

No Desks? Where Do We Put Our Stuff?
Funded Nov 7, 2008Thank you so much for your generous gift. I cannot begin to explain what a time saver these chair back pouches will be. We will be able to get so much more learning done! My students are up against so much--here's one thing that we don't need to worry about. Thanks again”

Funded Dec 9, 2008Thank you so much for your generosity. I cannot wait to make some games and materials that will be so much more durable now. I know my students will be excited to watch their work be preserved in this special way as well. It will mean a lot in a place that has limited to resources to be better able to preserve them. Again, thank you so much”

Hands On = Brain On
Funded Dec 9, 2008Thank you so much for your generosity! My students will benefit so much from using these math tools. Just today, I was wishing for the addition and subtraction manipulatives in this kit. I cannot wait to see what kind of growth my students will make with these tools at their disposal. Again, thank you so much”
