  • Pump Up Our Technology Skills!

    Thank you so much for donating to my project. The students will really enjoy using the tablets for reading their favorite books and playing educational games. Many of the students do not have access to technology at home, so this will be a priceless resource for them. In addition the protective covers will ensure that the kids take extra special care of the tablets.

  • Quick! Write the Right Answer!

    Thank you so much for your generosity. The students really love having class competitions using the white boards. Sometimes we play Jeopardy, and other times I may give them a math problem related to whatever skill or strategy we are studying, and they are required to show all of their work, and of course come up with the correct answer.

    We have a schedule for the bean bag chairs. Each day during silent reading 3 students get the luxury of chilling in the cozy chairs. I have a stack of paper cups with 3 names on each cup. Each day we swap out the cups, so everyone gets a turn fair and square.

    The students are really appreciative of your donations and the benefits that we get as a class. They are already coming up with ideas for my next proposal!”

  • A Cart for our Projector AND Magnetic Letters/Boards! OH YES

    Thank you for your generous donation. The cart is a new home for our projector and our DVD player. Prior to getting the cart, the projector sat on top of a shaky snack table! The cart has proved to be a great improvement.

    The magnetic letters and white boards have improved my lower functioning students spelling skills in no time at all! Everyday we use them at centers time. The students practice spelling with the magnetic letters and then use dry erase markers to actually write the words. The grades have sky rocketed for the students that used to really struggle on the weekly spelling tests!

  • Engaging My Students With an Epson XGA Projector

    Thank you so much for your generosity. My kinders are just beginning to realize how cool our new projector really is. We took a math test last week and it was so much easier for them to follow along and keep their place by having the assessment as big as life up on the front board.

    During regular math lessons, the kids are so much more engaged by being able to see the workbook page on the board and by getting turns to come up and write the answers on the dry erase board.

    We do not have an outdoor space, so during recess we do activities inside. We have been watching educational videos. and getting ready to do an assembly about Black History Month. We watched a video about Harriet Tubman and Garrett Morgan.

    So the students in my Kindergarten class, Myself and my associate teacher thank you very much for your support. We will put the projector to good use for many years to come.”
