Reading Recovery to the Rescue

"New books!?" As students arrived into the reading recovery room, they quickly notice something new. They are all too familiar with the books in the bins labeled by numbers. Some bins were looking a little bit empty until your books arrived. As students move upwards in levels, books become a bit more challenging. Level 11 books were a point where I was stuck with few options because books were few and topics were either archaic or quite frankly, unappealing to students. Now they've got a range of books that include interesting characters. Now that there are enough books, more books are available to go home each night for each student.”
