Currently we do have access to world maps but through a computer program such as Google Maps. It is restrictive in terms of views and the problem is students are confined to only what they see on their screen. Using a world map where each student is focused on the same image will help create better conversations in discussions of the content matter and will help to build a better foundation of knowledge. This map can and will be used in cross curriculum activities as we will often refer to it. "Where in the world does this story take place? Where is this country located in relation to other parts of the world? How big is this country compared to the United States?" Questions such as these will be discussed and covered.
