Weeble Wobble Chairs That Won't Fall Down
Funded Jan 16, 2025Thank you so much for your kind donations! The wobble chairs are a wonderful addition to our classroom. The students love to rock and spin on them as they are doing their thinking and completing their work.
The students were really excited to see their new seats! I took them out of the boxes before the students arrived to school, and when they walked in they were so excited! Everyone wanted one. The first thing they did was sit and spin.
We have so much more to learn before my students move on to third grade. I hope that the addition of these amazing chairs will keep them focused and ready to learn.”

Funded Sep 24, 2024Thank you so much for your donations to my project! My students use the wobble chairs everyday. We have table names and the stools are located at the "Cat Woman" table. The students are able to wobble, spin, and rock as they do their work. And their feet touch the ground!! The perfect size!
My students were really excited when the chairs were delivered. They had been sitting on crates with cushions on top. The cushions were falling apart, and the crates would slide around. Some students would even rock back on the crates creating an unsafe environment. The wobble chairs have created a fun, safe way to learn.
Students will continue using these wobble chairs for years to come. My students will wobble as they need to in order to learn in the best environment I can provide them.
Thank you again!”

Funded Jun 2, 2015Thank you for the donation for my classroom. My students are using the items purchased with your donation on a daily basis! They have their red pencil boxed to keep their pencils, pens, and other random items in one place. Their pens are used everyday in writing workshop and for correcting homework. The glue sticks and erasers are also used consistently. I use the colored paper for their weekly homework logs and notes to the families. Without your support, these items would have be purchased out of my pocket.
The students were very excited when they saw the items on the first day of school. They had "moved up to third grade" and the excitement level was high. Not only were they provided with the basics, but the excitement over three different pen colors was a bit too much! "What are we going to do with the pens? Why do we have three different colors?" They had moved up to the big leagues!
These items will be used throughout the academic year. The black pens will be for writing their stories, the blue for revisions, and the red to edit (and correct homework). I ordered the big glue sticks to last the year. Your contributions set me up for a well organized and stress free school year.
Thank you so much for your continued support of public education and me!”

Just The Basics
Funded Jun 20, 2012Thank you so much for your kind donation to support my classroom! It has been wonderful to have classroom supplies on hand for my students to use throughout the day.
My students have pencil boxes that they use to store their supplies which helps as they rotate through two classrooms. They have great glue sticks that not only let them see how much glue they are using (the glue is purple) but they are huge. I haven't had to scrabble to find glue sticks because a student has run out. We are only half way through the year and so far I haven't had to replace a single glue stick! The erasers, paper, and the toner have also been a HUGE help in the classroom.
It is nice to know that there are people out there that still believe education is important! Thank you, thank you, thank you!”

Look! This Is The Math Strategy That I Used!
Funded Jan 28, 2010Thank you so much for your donation! The document reader has become an integral part of instruction in my classroom. Students have been able to show others their mathematical strategies and, as a result, more students are trying different ways to problem solve. Students have learned that there are several ways to come to the correct answer, and I have been able to reinforce that the mathematical process is what truly shows understanding.
The document reader has also provide the opportunity for my students to speak publicly in front of their peers. Most of my students are English Language learners and it is very important that they are given opportunities to speak aloud and to explain their thinking.
Currently my school district is going through severe budget cuts and purchasing technology to help the students advance is not an option. Now I am able to provide teachable moments when they occur, not the next day after I have made a transparency.
Thank you again for this wonderful gift!”

Funded Dec 12, 2008Thank you so much for the wonderful donation! Our current budget has been drastically reduced and your donation will be a great help in my classroom! My students and I have come to rely on the mailing labels for our daily and weekly math problems. They really enjoy using the 8 Steps of Model Drawing when working on word problems.
I recently did an inservice for their parents and both the students and parents were excited about this. The students because their parents were learning something that the students already know, and the parents because it was another way to look at word problems.
Once again, thank you so much!
