I am the school library media specialist to a school of 500 pre-k to 5th grade students. Our school is 95% minority and 80% of our kids receive English as a Second Language services. We also are a Title I school, since 99% of our kids qualify for free and reduced lunch. Our school's focus is balanced literacy instruction, and to make sure our kids can read and write (and also do math!) at grade level is extremely important to us.

About my class
