A Rainbow of Possibilities
Funded Sep 29, 2022I want to begin by saying Thank You! Your generosity allowed my students to enter a bright welcoming environment. The children have taken so much pride in their classroom. From the brightly colored chair covers, to designate each table group, to the blue lounging floor-level chairs, in which they love to sit and rock in during independent work time, the class loves our classroom setting.
From the moment the supplies arrived, the students were so excited to unpack the boxes to see what was inside. One little one said, "This is all for us! It's like Christmas." Each time, we unboxed an item, you could hear, "Ohhhh, ahhh...What's that for?" They were so proud to help set up the accents that brought our classroom alive.
Thankfully all the material purchase was made with such good quality, I am able reuse items for next year. This is so beneficial to me because, it allows me to focus on distributing my resources other pertinent things for next year.
In closing, I really want to deeply again share my gratitude for all your donations. You truly brought joy and happiness to our colorful world.”

Funded Aug 13, 2020I would like to begin by thanking all of you for your generous donations. The supplies have made the transition into remote learning easier for scholars and me. We get to use our dry erase clipboards and markers for phonics and math lessons. They are able to write their responses to questions on the board and share them on their screens. It really helps when we are practicing our addition fluency.
One of the best things was delivering the supplies to my scholars. We had been in school for a couple of weeks before I delivered the backpacks with the supplies in them. The students and their families had no idea that I would be coming, or bringing gifts. My students were excited to see me in person and a personalized bookbag with supplies was like the cherry on top. By the time we logged in the next morning for class, everyone had they stuff ready to work. I can sum it up by saying this is one of the best teaching memories of my career.
Finally, I am looking forward to launching our plant cycle unit in which I will be able to create a class garden and the scholars will be able to make daily observations. I hope to deliver seeds to each of my scholars, so they can plant and have a personal garden to compare to our class garden. With teaching remotely, my goal has always been to make opportunities for us, as a class, to connect. I believe this unit will help us create more memories while being apart.
Thank you again for helping me help my students. I hope you can continue to support my scholars.”

Funded Aug 4, 2020I want to begin this letter by thanking you for your generous donations. You allowed me to transform a corner into a virtual classroom. Although, I will forever miss my actual classroom, filled with children's laughter, projects and hug, this new classroom has been our home away from home.
I have been able to transform the backdrop three times thus far. I began the school year with a celebratory environment, filled with colorful balloons and fans, to welcome my scholars in a jovial way. Next I revamped our classroom into a festive fall experience. By the time, we returned from the Thanksgiving break, the class was welcomed to a Winter Wonderland theme. My scholars are so excited to see how the classroom will look. Currently they are making suggestions on what our next look will be.
Speaking of looks, I really don't know how to put into words the feeling I have being able to use the Macbook to connect with my class. Prior to the pandemic, I used a very small laptop that was quite a few years old. It barely could handle the high demand of remote learning. I was not able to play videos, access my drive without it crashing, or seeing my students work when it was their turn to share their screens. With the Mac, this problem has been resolved, and I am able to trouble shoot issues my scholars have, since a few of them work off of Apple products. It is easier for me to navigate and guide them on using their devices.
In closing, thank you once again for taking the time to help my scholars and I reconnect through technology.”
