  • Girls Who Kick!

    Thank you so much for your generous donation of kickballs and kickball bases! Starting a physical education program from scratch was a larger feat than I expected, but because of amazing donors like yourself, The Young Women's Leadership School of Staten Island is on its way to a prosperous program.

    Many of my students are from low-income areas and aren't exposed to many sports programs. My goal is to teach the girls as many sports as possible and once they find a sport/activity they love, stick with it!

    Our kickball games we're so much fun! I wish you could've seen the girls faces as they were running around the bases. Our kickball unit is a steppingstone to one day, a softball unit and eventually a softball team!”
