My students are FABULOUS...each and every one of them know that they are capable learners and they are in charge of their own destiny. Students in my class are interactive and allowed to have a voice. Students at our school primarily are on free and reduced lunch (92%) so our needs are greater than most middle American families/schools. Students attend a school that is K-6 grades and we are concerned with student achievement. Students at this school also are pulled out for reading interventions for 30 minutes each day, so you can see that we are striving to ensure that struggling students have available resources and optimal opportunities for learning. Students usually don't have the advantages of other students, in that they are from very low income homes, most are on free and reduced lunch, and many go home to empty houses at the end of each day. Students are eager to learn and thirst for knowledge. These materials will help quench that thirst.
