Graphic Novels for High Interest Reading
Funded Dec 31, 2024Thank you so much! What a wonderful way to end the year. My second grade students are voracious readers and will be looking forward to reading these wonderful books.
It is so fun to watch this group find books that are of high interest and engaging. Thank you for the gift of reading.”

High Interest Reading!
Funded Jul 8, 2024Thank you so much for the generous donation of our new books. My second graders have been loving the new materials for reading. I have noticed that they have gravitated towards the Mercy Watson series, which we received through your generous donation. They are also loving the read alouds. One favorite was Every So Often, A Zebra Has Stripes.
I am thankful that we now have so many high interest reading materials in my classroom. Students are happily engaged during silent reading, and are always excited to book shop. Thank you again for your generosity!”

Building Our Best Selves!
Funded Dec 22, 2023Thank you, thank you, thank you! All of the materials received this year were big hits for my first graders. They gave us the soft start we needed in the mornings. Students would unpack and get started on a stem bin on their desk.
Students learned to work together with others, share materials, and took pride in the projects they made. One of the biggest hits was the penguins, legos, and magnatiles. Students often asked and hoped for those. They often asked to show me what they made. Thank you for keeping my students engaged this year!
Thank you so much!”

Funded Nov 14, 2023Thank you so much for so many wonderful gifts for our classroom. I requested a few items, hoping for the best and you all delivered. I am lucky enough to teach a really fun, joyful bunch of first graders. I wanted to start their day off matching their joyous energy, and I decided to do this by having STEM bins for our morning work. However, I didn't have much to start with. With the STEM donations made to our classroom I was able to expand our morning STEM work with pattern blocks, pattern block design cards, playdoh and the pixel art challenge activity.
When students come in to the room in the morning, they are excited to see what STEM activity awaits them. They can't wait to get started. There is a buzz through the classroom as students build and create with their STEM bins. The thing about this STEM work, is that first graders are also creating community while they build. They get to practice skills like working together and sharing with their tablemate. Often students will ask me to take pictures of what they have created or they will put items they are proud of on the "save shelf." As the day progresses, students stop by the shelf to comment and admire what their classmates have created. The joy students start with in the morning, continue throughout the day. We are thankful for your generous donations. Your impact is immeasurable.”
