Show Me the Math!

Our whiteboards, markers, and erasers arrived this week. I unpacked them immediately, and started planning lessons using them for the next day.

My Algebra classes are beginning our unit on quadratic equations, so these came just in time for us to practice graphing. The students were immediately engaged in starting their graphs. The graphing side of the board is large enough that kids have "scratch" room to figure out what points they need to graph for each function. I was also surprised that even cautious students jumped right in - since dry-erase boards are so easy to erase and change, they were willing to take chances with the math instead of just waiting to copy the correct answer.

I want you to know that you have genuinely made a difference in my classroom. The students are more involved with the work, and I can easily view who understands the math (and who doesn't). I promise that I will continue to use them for the rest of this year and far into the future. Your gift has an impact!
