The school enrollment is 1300 students. The ethnicity makeup is 24% Hispanic and 76% white. In 2011-12 17% of students were classified as Socio-Economically Disadvantaged. This year for the first time there is a AP Calculus BC (2nd year course) class besides the AP Calculus AB class(1st year course). Both of these courses are presented with the depth and the rigor of college-entry calculus course. There are 16 seniors taking the class. 88% of these seniors are taking an additional AP class besides this one. Based on last years AP test results, 90% of students took the Advanced Placement test and 50% passed with a score of 3 or higher. (3 or higher enables them to receive college credits) Their success on the test is based partially on their ability to competently use a graphing calculator.
