LIVING IN COLOR
Funded Nov 27, 2021I cannot thank you enough for your generosity and thoughtfulness towards myself and my classroom. As educators we are task with creating a welcoming environment for students. Technology is one tool that we use to do this work. We depend on copy machines, computers and printers to support us in not only creating a welcoming environment, but creating materials to support students in their learning.
I work daily to support students with accessing materials to make learning more engaging. My students need appealing charts that teaches them routines, vocabulary, as well as other academic supports. Having a color printer gives me access to printing games, tools, feedback and materials that will help support them in their academic achievement. Before having my own printer, I could not print materials for my students unless I got approval through my administrators and then them printing the materials for me that was only in black and white. Now it is much more convenient having the printer accessible for me and my students.
My students love seeing their work and charts in color. I find the that my English Language Learners are more willing to do the work when it is in color. Sometimes they don't understand because of the language barrier but the colors and the pictures support them with engaging in the learning. We are so excited to have a color printer as part of our classroom Thank you again for your kindness. "You are very appreciated!"”

This classroom project was brought to life by Con Edison and one other donor.Crazy Math
Funded Mar 31, 2013This is just a small token of my gratitude for your generous donation to my classroom. The math games you donated have helped my scholars improve their math skills and has generated a new love for math. We have used the games to learn and improve math vocabulary, work on concepts that scholars previously had difficulty with. My scholars ask to play the math games everyday.
Our school is currently facing budget issues and unfortunately the scholars are the ones feeling the effect. These vital resources has made a significant impact on their learning.
Without donors like you, thousands of classrooms in the United States would be without supplies. Thank You!”

Kinder Loves Learning with Laptops
Funded Dec 31, 2011Thank you for your generous donation to my classroom. The laptops have really made an impact on my classroom. More students are able to use the computer now that we have working computers. The students are really excited and they love learning with the laptops.
The laptops in our school were in very poor conditions. Many of them do not work and there were just not enough working computers to serve the students. Thank you for giving my students the opportunity to learn through technology. Our students are living in a technological age where they need to have basic computer skills to survive. As young as the students are in my classroom, they know how to operate and use the computer. Thank you again. My scholars are off to great start.”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Redwood
