• Organizing Daily 5 Materials

  Thank you so much for providing our classroom with these wonderful materials for students to use. Students will be able to organize several activities, reading material, etc which is all to be used during their Daily 5 time. Daily 5 is done every day for the majority of the morning, and it is an independent activity. Now, with your help, students will be able to stay organized during this time, making it so much easier to store, find and use all the different materials.

  Although our school in in a low-income community with little to no resources available, it is so nice to see generous people like yourselves helping making our classroom a better place to be.”

• Bring Technology in the Classroom!

  I have been hoping that this project gets funded!! It has made such a huge difference in my classroom so far, and the students are thrilled. Many teachers in the building have ipads to use with their classrooms, which they were given trough dual-language funding. Unfortunately, I am not a dual-language teacher, so getting this ipad funding through you has been such a gift.

  I will be able to access interesting websites to use for lessons, as well as have students work independently with the ipad to do research and skill-building activities.

• Common Core Help!!

  I would like to thank you for funding this project. Now, students have more resources available to them during their Daily 5 time, and they love it! They love using the magnetic boards to spell their spelling and vocabulary words. They are so engaged when completing the activities. They also love the stamping materials. They are always so excited to go to this center and stamp their words! They are focused and engaged throughout the entire time! Having the bins to store all these materials makes it easier and teaching students the importance of being organized in life. It is also a life-long skill I teach my students. Thanks again!!”

• Organizing Our Daily 5 Stations

  Thank you so much for funding this project! It was so wonderful to see the excitement with the students when I told them were would be getting a Daily 5 organizer. They asked every day when it would come until it did, and they were thrilled.

  Now, they can organize their materials to use for Daily 5 in an easy way. They seem to be more organized with their materials and can access them in an easier way! It seems as they look forward to Daily 5 just so they can view their materials in their new organizer!

• Comfy Reading in the Classroom

  Thanks so much for helping this project get funded. Now my students have a big comfortable place to relax and do their reading. Before,they were reading on a smaller rug or on cold, hard tile flooring. Now, they love to go and read while sitting, or laying on the rug.

  I try to motivate my students to read in any way I can, and now, it just got a little easier! Our classroom looks a little more "homely" and I feel as students are responding well to that!

• Help with Our Technology Station

  My kids are thrilled! They have been cramming on a small table each time they used the computers in our classroom. They were such good sports about sharing the space, and tried their best to make everyone comfortable. When I told them we were getting a computer table, they cheered!

  It is all put together and they were anxious to get on the computer!! One main challenge my students face is lack of resources. I try my very best to make their classroom a fun, inviting place, and because of you, it is on its way!

• Help with an Old Classroom

  I can't being to thank you enough for funding this project! You are so generous for giving to this project! My kids were thrilled and love using all the new materials. I hope you enjoyed the thank you letters they wrote for you.

  WIth this project, the students are able to relax on a comfy rug while reading their favorite books. They also look forward to laying on the rug while I read their favorite stories to them. The rug creates such a comfy cozy setting for them to work in. They love it!

  They also enjoy their new colorful bins. They are able to organize several Daily 5 materials in these bins, making accessing their materials so much easier and transitions from the groups easier as well. Daily 5 is a much smoother activity because of this organization tool. We all thank you for that!

  Lastly is the media cart that I would like to personally thank you for. Our classroom has a limited amount of supplies, and furniture to use for storage. Having this media cart now allows me to use my document camera and projector in as easy manner, making it useful during lessons. I don't have to push a small table around in my classroom each time I conduct a lesson with the projector/document camera. Thanks again for that!!

  Overall, getting this project funded has made the students' classroom a better place to be! They students are more motivated and love being here even more!

• Listening Center Furniture

  When asked how the project has impacted my class, I can think of how excited my students were when I told them their Listening Center was coming! They cheered and were so excited. We completed a writing project, and two of the students wrote about something they were looking forward to for the week, and participating at the Listening Center was what they wrote about. They all would like to be there at the same time! This is a happy place for them to go, relax, and listen to wonderful text in a stress free environment.

• Help in Our Classroom

  Teaching penguins is one of my very favorite units to teach. Not only are they amazing animals, but there is so much to teach the students about, and the students suck it all up! Getting this project funded has given me TONS of penguin materials to use, I am thrilled and the students are too! If it were up to the students, we would study penguins all day long!
