Focus on Employment with a Wireless Projector
Funded May 14, 2023Thank you so much for your generous donations! Because of your generosity, we received a new projector which we have been using daily to show videos and presentations that support our life skills lessons.
The old projector was terrible. Students would have a hard time seeing what was being projected because the images would be so blurry or hard to read. But now, with this new projector, students are able to see information or images clearly, which really helps students who are vision impaired. So thank you so much for funding this project. We appreciate you!”

Funded May 14, 2023Thank you so much for your generous donations! Because of your generosity, we received a new printer which we have put to good use.
My students use the printer to create and print their resumes, work documents, and job applications. Before receiving this new printer, the old printer would jam on us all the time during printing, which caused a lot of headaches because we couldn't print documents when we needed to. Many times, we would have to print at home. So we are so grateful for the new printer! It has saved us so much time. Thank you!”

Funded Mar 12, 2021A big THANK YOU for your donations.
The headphones are a wonderful addition to the tools our students now have to improve the quality of their zoom meetings. Before getting the headphones, it was hard for some of our students to fully participate during zoom meetings because of the background noises and audio issues. With the headphones, we are now able to hear the students more clearly when they speak and the background noises have been limited. As a result, some of the students have shared that the headphones have made it easier for them to stay focused and to concentrate in class now.
I want to thank you once again for your donations and for your generosity.”

Corded Laptop Mouse
Funded Mar 12, 2021I want to thank you for your generosity and to let you know how your donations have made a positive impact on our students.
The corded laptop mice that you funded have been put to good use. The students use it daily when they are working on the computer for basic functions such as cutting and pasting text to more complex tasks such as editing. These tasks were difficult for them before when they only had the touchpad. Now, with a laptop mouse, it is so much easier and faster to do these tasks without having to remember all the shortcut keys.
THANK YOU!”

Public Speaking Takes Practice
Funded May 29, 2019Thank you for your generosity! We use the presentation remotes you funded to enhance the PowerPoint presentations our students use to communicate and share information with their peers and parents.
These presentation remotes have made a positive impact on how our students feel about themselves and how they articulate their thoughts to others. Our students used to hate doing presentations because they lacked the skills and confidence to talk in front of people. But now that we have the presentation remotes, it promotes interests and excitement to present.
We noticed the students enjoy doing presentations now because they get to use the remotes. We also noticed that their confidence and public speaking skills have improved tremendously. As a result, they have better communicators, which I know will help them greatly for future careers.
Thank you once again for providing the resources to help boost the confidence and minds of our students. Thank you!”

Equipment to Teach Work Skills
Funded Jul 18, 2019Thank you for your generosity. The scanner you funded has made a big impact on the way our students share information and engage with technology. With the scanner, they are able to scan and share documents with their peers, which allows them to collaborate and share their work efficiently. Having the scanner also allows the students to scan and send their resumes and required documents to potential employers in a much faster and more convenient manner.
One of my students recently used the scanner to scan his recommendation letters, which he uploaded into his online work portfolio. Today, when he was applying for a job online, he was able to attach those recommendation letters with his resume to the application. This would not have been possible if it wasn't for your generosity. Thank you!”

Learning by Seeing
Funded Mar 27, 2018Your generosity has made a huge impact in my classroom. By funding my project for a document reader, you have made it possible for me to broaden student learning. The document reader is a great instructional tool that I use on a daily basis.
I like the fact that I can use the document reader to enlarge texts. When I enlarge texts, all of my students seem to be more engaged and involved, especially those students with visual impairments. For example, I noticed a change in J.G who has visual impairments. Before implementing the use of a document reader, I noticed that he was often disengaged and bored during guided instruction. However, after I started using the document reader to make the texts bigger and easier to see, he seems more eager to follow along and to participate during instruction.
Having the document reader as an instructional tool has been a blessing! Once again, thank you for your generosity.”

Funded Apr 2, 2014Thank you for your generosity and kindness. The resources you provided through your donations have allowed us to purchase writing tools, such as finger spacers and whiteboards, to support the development of basic writing skills.
My students use the finger spacers and whiteboards on a daily basis during English Language Arts and math. These tools are so helpful, and I noticed they have helped my students tremendously. Prior to having these tools, many of the students struggled with proper spacing. Before, it was quite difficult to understand their writing because their sentences were often written as one long word. However, after numerous lessons on proper spacing using the finger spacers and whiteboards, they are now able to space their words properly so that it is comprehensible.
My students and I are very grateful, and we appreciate your donations!”

Special Ed. Class Needs Basic Classroom Supplies
Funded Jan 22, 2012We are extremely thankful for your donations. Thanks to your generosity, we were able to acquire appropriate resources to assist in the teaching of life skills combined with academic skills to our children with special needs.
The children use the calculators on a daily basis to do functional math, such as calculating a With these resources, the children are able to apply learned skills using hands on activities; thus, enhancing their understanding of functional and academic concepts.
For most of our students, something as simple as knowing how to use an oven takes a lot of practice and hands on teaching for them to be able to do it themselves. Now that we have an oven and a burner, our students have learned how to operate and/or become familiar with using these equipments in addition to learning how to bake cookies, cheese and wiener crescent rolls, cakes, and other food dishes.
Again, thank you for your donations and kindness toward our students with special needs”
