Our classroom is lucky to have a set of iPads that students use daily to research topics of study, like Geography, Ancient Egypt, Mesopotamia, Early Humans, and receive materials that we will be using to cut down on our use of paper, and carbon footprints. As a result of prolonged use, the protective covers on our class set, have been severely damaged, and need to be replaced so we can keep our technology safe and in working order. Our students with disabilities rely on the iPads to help them create and finish work, as do our English Language Learners, who benefit from being able to translate work directly from their native language to English, and vice versa, as well as access to dictionaries, visuals and other tools that make learning accessible. Our students are visual learners! We help our students learn by creating visual tools like word walls, picture dictionaries, processing and procedure charts. In order to produce these resources, our classroom needs a working color printer. Our current printer is on its last legs, as it has been in service for 13-years. Receiving a new printer would help us continue to create beautiful visual tools and resources to help each of our kids learn. Please help us continue to create a classroom environment that supports learning for every student!
