My students are incredible. This is my fifth year teaching fourth grade, we have created an amazingly friendly, comfortable, respectful atmosphere where students strive in learning daily. We are at a very high poverty school and the funds are not available to buy much needed supplies for our classroom. I have learned that my students are explorers, they see learning better when they are able to try it out themselves. Students can only learn so much through reading before they either exhaust all of the resources or become bored with the learning. Instead my students need to use their HANDS, they need to test, classify, compare and contrast materials and they need to be able to have the materials in the classroom. This is where my school struggles because of the small budgets that we have. I want to be able to help them with this but I need help!
Please help me in educating the students of our future!
