Books, Books and More
Funded Dec 8, 2019Thank you for your generosity and kindness. The students were so excited when I opened the boxes and let them play and explore with Lego, Tegu, and blocks. They built cool vehicles with Lego and then used wooden blocks to build race tracks. It was amazing to hear their sophisticated discussions on how to change the configurations so the cars would move faster. These experiences had a lasting impression on my students; when the school closed and we were learning remotely, the children were drawing and writing about the amazing time they had playing and exploring in Kindergarten.
All the wonderful books that came with the project were a great addition to our classroom library. Some of the books we read together in class and some I read on Zoom while we were learning remotely.
Thank you so much for your support!”

Funded Dec 26, 2019I just returned from delivering books to my students. They were beyond happy to receive new books. Many of them prefer reading paper books to the electronic version. Some parents wrote to me saying that their child started reading as soon as they got home.
This is not the way I planned to bring this project to life, but one must improvise in the time of global pandemic. The bookstore sent me 78 books, I sorted them into bags and brought them to my students' homes. Thanks to your kindness and generosity I was able to bring beautiful books to my students. Thank you for giving us the gift of reading.”

Supplies For A Great Year In Kindergarten
Funded Aug 5, 2019I am incredibly thankful for all the supplies my classroom received. The beginning of the year is an exciting and busy time. Having all the supplies ready before the first day of school made the transition into the new school year smoother and easier. My students were engaged in learning, playing, and creating art on the first day of school; we didn't have to worry whether the parents will be able to purchase the correct supplies. My students loved learning how to write letters using lap boards and dry erase markers. The children were strengthening their fine motor skills and creativity by playing with Play-doh. Now we have enough Magna-Tiles so a group of up to six students can work together to create intricate structures. The materials you have so generously donated have helped make teaching and learning more engaging and exciting. Thank you from all of us in K-107!”

The Land of Art and Play
Funded Dec 18, 2018Thank you for all the wonderful art supplies, toys, and costumes.
My students love making art. Our art center is open every day and is very popular. It is so wonderful that I no longer have to ration art materials. Thanks to your generosity, our art area is well stocked with a multitude of supplies. The kids have been making really cool art projects. They especially like making puppets using construction paper, yarn, and craft sticks.
Our pretend area is buzzing with excitement. The children love dressing as pilots, nurses, firefighters, and other community workers. Then too, they take care of baby dolls by feeding them and dressing them up for special outings. Fantasy play is very important for their development and well being. Thank you so much for supporting my students.”

Funded Aug 23, 2018Thank you so much for supporting my classroom. It is wonderful to have new sturdy shelf storage. It keeps items of all shapes and sizes organized and within reach. The storage has several compartments, so there is a place for books, folders, and toys. The children are able to access and put away the materials independently. Then too, thank you for the nature blocks and Lego figurines. The students love building houses, farms, bridges, tunnels, schools and police stations. Every day they come up with a new idea and start building. I am in awe of their creativity and imagination. We are forever grateful for your generosity and kindness.”

Awesome ABC's
Funded Aug 23, 2018Thank you for your generosity and support. My students love exploring the alphabet with hands-on activities. They use the magnetic board and letters to spell out their names and their friends' names. This activity helps my students make connections between letters and sounds in a meaningful way. Those kids who mastered letter recognition are using the stamp set and are working on identifying first and last sound of a word. When my students are putting together the giant alphabet puzzle, they are learning the letters while developing motor skills and spacial awareness. All of these materials are making learning fun and keeping the students engaged and active! Thank you from all of us in K-107!”

Field Trip to Construction Kids
Funded Dec 27, 2017We just returned from the trip to Construction Kids. Our class had a wonderful day! My kindergarteners learned how to use a hammer and nails and worked with wood to make toy boats. Their projects were so creative. Every boat looked unique. It was a one of a kind experience for my students. Everyone said that this trip was their favorite. When we returned to the classroom, the children painted their projects and then brought them home. They were so proud of their creations. Thank you for making this amazing experience possible for my students. We are so lucky that there are people like you who care so much about education. Thank you from all of us in K-107!”

Art Supplies and Wobble Chairs
Funded Dec 27, 2017Thank you for all the wonderful art supplies, wobble chairs and math games.
It is hard to sit still when you are a little kid. The wobble chairs enable my students to channel their energy while focusing on the task at hand. We mostly use wobble chairs during small reading and math group activities, but some children use wobble chairs during center time as well.
My students love making art. Our art center is open every day and is very popular. Thanks to your generosity, our art area is well stocked with various supplies. It is so wonderful that I no longer have to ration such simple art materials as construction paper, markers and craft sticks. The kids have been making really cool art projects. They already have so much creativity, all they needed was more art materials.
Thank you for your support!”

Super Seat Storage
Funded Aug 22, 2017Thank you so much for your care and generosity. We are so lucky that there are people like you who support teachers and students. My kindergartners love their new seat pockets. That is where they keep books, folders, slates and markers. My students quickly get ready for a learning activity because all their supplies are within an easy reach. I am grateful for the storage bins. We use the bins for books, writing supplies, and math manipulative. It is so wonderful to have a well organized learning environment. We can't thank you enough!”
