Get Ready for a Great Year
Funded Aug 25, 2024Thank you so much for your generous contributions to our classroom! The art supplies and educational tools you provided have truly enriched our learning environment and brought so much joy and creativity to our students.
The art supplies have been a hit during our center time. The oil pastels and watercolors have allowed the children to experiment with blending colors and expressing themselves in new ways. The dot markers have been a fun, mess-free way for our little artists to practice fine motor skills while creating vibrant works of art.
The puzzles have encouraged teamwork and problem-solving as students work together to piece them together. The play dish set has sparked imaginative play, with the children creating "meals" and hosting pretend tea parties, fostering social interaction and role-playing skills.
Thanks to your kindness, my students have access to resources that inspire learning, creativity, and collaboration every day. Your support makes a tremendous difference in their early education experience, and I am deeply grateful for your generosity.”

LOOK! THE BOOKS!
Funded Nov 27, 2023Thank you for your generous contribution to our project. My students and I are are so grateful for your kindness. My students love books and reading. Our new book stand is a perfect addition to our meeting area. We use the book stand to display the students' favorite books as well as the books for our current unit of study. The bookcase is a perfect size, it doesn't take much space and is low enough for four year olds to be able to reach all the books. The books are facing forward so the students can quickly locate the book they want to read. Thank you again for your generosity.”

This classroom project was brought to life by The SONIC Foundation and 2 other donors.A Rug for Us
Funded Aug 15, 2023Thank you for donating such beautiful rug to our classroom. Having a rug with individual sections makes it easier for students to maintain their personal spaces. Different colored buttons help with classroom management and transitions. This rug has helped create a clean and organized classroom environment for my students.
Our classroom rug is a hub where we meet to hear stories, share ideas and events, build structures, sing, dance, play games, solve puzzles, or just quietly enjoy a good book. We are very grateful to have a beautiful new rug. Thank you for your generosity and support.”

This classroom project was brought to life by The SONIC Foundation and 2 other donors.Books for Young Readers
Funded Dec 29, 2022Thank you so much for funding my project. We received a huge set of decodable books. Decodable books encourage children to sound out words using decoding strategies rather than guessing from pictures or predicting from other cues.
My students love these books. We use them every day for small group instructions and independent reading. These books provide great support to all readers in my classroom. It is amazing how high quality decodables books encourage students to read and feel successful in their reading. The books are so fun and funny that my kids want to read more and more. Thank you for this beautiful gift of reading.”

Build, Create, Make Art and Learn
Funded Dec 27, 2021Wow! There are not enough words to express my immense gratitude and appreciation. Thank you for supporting my classroom. My students and I are so grateful for the wonderful art supplies, Magna-Tiles, and books.
My students love making art. Our art center is open every day and is very popular. It is so wonderful that we don't have to conserve art materials. Thanks to your generosity, our art area is well stocked with a plethora of supplies. I don't even give any directions, the students use the supplies and their imagination to create really awesome art pieces.
The students were so excited when I unpacked the new Magna-Tiles. Every day they plan and build intricate structures while developing important cooperation skills as well as advance geometry concepts. My kindergartners are learning so much through play!
We are very fortunate that there are so many kind and generous people who care about education and child development. Thank you from all of us in K-107!”

Ready! Set! Kindergarten!
Funded Aug 22, 2021I am incredibly thankful for all the supplies my classroom received. The beginning of the year is an exciting and busy time. Having all the supplies ready before the first day of school made the transition into the new school year smoother and easier. From the first day of school my students were engaged in learning, playing, and creating art. It was fun for my kindergartners to learn to write letters using dry erase markers and lapboards. They now use the lapboards and markers to write words and sentences as well as solve math problems. Our art center is well stocked and is also very popular. The materials you have so generously donated have helped make teaching and learning more engaging and exciting. Thank you from all of us in K-107!”

Books for Our Remote Kindergarten
Funded Feb 8, 2021Thank you for donating to my project. Our online classroom received so many wonderful books. The children enjoyed listening to books about brave people in history, like Rosa Parks and Wilma Rudolph. The book "Speak Up" inspired students to write their own persuasive letters. When I read "Our Favorite Day of the Year", the children were delighted to learn about different cultures and celebrations. The book also inspired my students to share about their families' cultures and traditions. Furthermore, conversations about Ramadan sparked curiosity and learning about the Moon and its phases.
It is so wonderful to have such diverse read-aloud library. Thank you for your support and generosity.”

Supplies For a Great School Year
Funded Sep 2, 2020Thank you so much for donating to my project. Teaching kindergarten online is a challenging task. These materials have been invaluable in supporting our online lessons. For example, the students use dry-erase boards and markers for many different activities such as writing words during phonics lessons and solving problems during math instructions. When the students are ready to share their work, they hold their boards up to the camera for me to see. Because of this, I can clearly see their work and give feedback. My students are too young to type; however, writing on the dry-erase board is developmentally appropriate and fun.
Thank you again for your ongoing support and generosity!”
