With our high number of students with sensory processing differences, our school is building a sensory room, filling it with materials to support their tactile, auditory, visual, proprioceptive, and vestibular sensory needs. We need more safe spaces for our students to meet their sensory needs and to help them to stay regulated at school. We are seeking to purchase a Sensory Steamroller, a crucial item for our room to help with "heavy work", body awareness, and motor planning skills. It will help meet body movement craving needs in a safe setting, with the support from our special education and general education staff. Our ultimate goal is to meet the needs of all our students.
