  • Great Readings Need Great Books

    Thank you all so much for your generosity! Our class is really enjoying every book you donated to our classroom. Right now we are working on a reading unit that helps students read across genre. They are comparing what they are learning by reading fiction and non-fiction. Your donations have helped round out our library. Each student is able to have a small collection in their book bags and they are able to read through the books on a daily basis.

  • Great Readers and Writers in the Making!

    We can't thank you enough for donating to our class project.  For the past month we have been craning our necks trying to see the ever important anchor charts during Reading and Writing Workshop.  Each day during our mini lesson we create charts for our students to refer to while they are reading and writing independently.  Now that we have this wonderful teaching tool we are able to create the document right in front of our class.  The students love this new addition to our classroom and we truly could not have this in our class without your help.

Each student comes to carpet corner to hear the mini-lesson and then is sent off to do their own reading and writing...it's a beautiful thing.
