Listen While We Work
Funded Aug 9, 2022How can I thank you for your generous donation? These ear buds have been a blessing to our classroom. We have many different programs we use on our iPads during the day and these ear buds have helped us tremendously! They help keep us focused on our own work. It's also wonderful for when I need to pull a group of students to review or go over skills and we aren't distracted by our classmates on their various programs. The students love having something to call theirs and they love the earbuds came in their own special case. They have been taking such care of them, I love seeing that they are now able to show pride in something so small. Again, thank you so much for helping us have a way to focus on the work we need to be successful so we can listen while we learn.”

Funded Feb 14, 2019How can I thank you enough for your generous donation? My students were so thankful to have new headphones to use today. Our old ones were so well loved, that they were falling apart. The students were so thankful to have the opportunity to use the headphones because they knew they weren't bothering their classmates listening to audiobooks or doing one of our online reading programs. It was a joy for me as well because I knew that the students I work with in small groups won't be distracted by the extra noise and can focus on their learning. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart. You have truly made my students day.”

Organizing Our Space
Funded May 27, 2018How can I thank you enough for your generous donations? My students are finally able to have more space for organizing our materials and have a way to keep the lights out without the room being too dark. They were so thrilled when we put the new lamp together and turned it on, they said that they were so happy because the classroom lights were too bright and hurting their eyes. When we put the bookcases together, they were so happy to have boxes of materials up off the floor and actually somewhere other than in their way. Thank you for making our classroom a little less bright, and a little more organized.”

Mindplay My Way
Funded Sep 26, 2017How can I thank you enough for your donation? My kids were so excited to begin using the new iPads. They couldn't contain themselves!
My students have fallen in love with the Moby Max program, and you have given us the opportunity to have more kids online because of your generosity. There are many other reading apps they love and are so excited to use during guided reading centers.
I have seen what technology can do for students who aren't excited about reading, and these apps have changed all that. I can't wait to let them soar into a good book!”

Being Organized and Healthy
Funded Sep 23, 2017What can I say? I am speechless. You have made many kids very happy. You have helped students understand what it means to be generous by helping us with gaining new materials to use in class as well as ways to keep organized and healthy. We go through so much Kleenex, sometimes I wonder if they "eat" them. The drawer organizer helps keep all our materials in a common place and helps us know where things go, since we don't have traditional desks. They really liked helping organize them as well. Again, thank you for all you do to help myself and other teachers do our job to educate the future leaders!”

Funded Sep 18, 2017What can I say? I am speechless. You have made many kids very happy. You have helped students understand what it means to be generous by helping us with gaining new materials to use in class as well as ways to keep organized. We go through so many glue sticks and pencils, sometimes I wonder if they "eat" them. The pocket folders are such a huge help as well since they will replace the paper ones that have fallen apart. We keep our task cards that we glue and write on in our notebooks, so having sturdier folders to keep them is was such a blessing. They really liked helping organize them as well. Again, thank you for all you do to help myself and other teachers do our job to educate the future leaders!”

Funded Sep 15, 2017My students were so excited to see our new 8 pocket folders today, they couldn't wait to be able to help transfer the task cards. Our old 8 pocket folders had much wear and tear on them, that they were beginning to fall apart. We have task cards that we use every day, and by having them stored in sturdy folders will make it so much easier for my students to access. They also couldn't wait to help me build and begin using our 10 drawer organizers. It is so nice now that each group to have their own organizer to keep by their tables to provide easier access to materials. You have make a classroom full of kids very happy.”

Funded Aug 24, 2017We are only a week into using our new vocabulary curriculum and the kids are loving it. I'm seeing them participate more and talk about words in a way that I've never heard them before. During one guided reading group in particular, I had several students find a few of the words we are focusing on this week in the book they were reading. They were so excited and told me what it meant without my prompting them for it. After the first morning, they come in every day asking when we are going to continue with the lessons. Thank you for helping me grow my students' vocabulary.”

TIME for Reading Nonfiction
Funded Aug 21, 2017How can I thank you enough for your support of my students? We finally received our first issue of TIME for Kids last Friday and we were able to begin using this fabulous magazine today. Because it was the first time using these new materials, I introduced them during my small group instruction, so I could guide each group to what I wanted them to pay attention to most while reading. The looks on their faces when we began exploring was fantastic. They were so excited to have something different to read. The first we received had to do with Hurricane Harvey, so we were able to talk about things that are still relevant, and that they know about. They contributed more to our conversations, and I enjoyed listening to what they were discussing among themselves. Again, I can't thank you enough for your help in reaching my students.”

Funded Aug 27, 2017I am so grateful for your generous help in making our organizing goals come to life. We were beginning to lose things we were learning, and the supplies we need in order to help us reference those materials. When they saw some of the new materials, they were so excited. I even had a few students want to help build our 10 drawer shelf. Now that we are on our way to being more organized as a class, I can't wait to see how that translates to other areas of our school day. Being organized is one of those life skills that we don't always get around to teach, and with your help, we are one step closer to learning the importance of it. Again, thank you for helping me reach my students.”
