My students are athletes who are on the girls' basketball team. They are a great group of girls who come to class/practice every day and work hard to achieve our goals as a team as well as their individual goals. Our school is a very diverse school. There are many students who are homeless or at the poverty level. There are also many students who come from very wealthy homes. I love working with these diverse students! It allows us to see and understand where everyone is coming from while joining together as a student body to create a welcoming and safe environment.
