These students range in age from first to fifth grade. Coming from high poverty working neighborhoods, our students' life experiences are created for the most part in the classroom. As an arts integrated school, the faculty has high expectations for all of our students and strive to build confident risk takers within a safe and nurturing environment. Our students may not have a lot of money, but we are teaching them that with hard work and determination, they can achieve. They are not letting us down, but since we are not a Title I school with 87% free and reduced lunch, funds for the "fun" stuff is sometimes limited to base materials.
