The Community School is a Big Picture School that conceptualizes the whole-child value. We incorporate Habits of Heart and Mind and as a major part of our education and students pride themselves on having a voice in our school. Students develop their learning by investigating what sparks their passions as well as academia. Students not only focus on the rigor and relevance of traditional subjects, they work in their community to gain valuable experience in a variety of areas that are significant to their future goals. Student expectations are set very high and challenges motive them to work hard. Students discover that they are very intelligent and they build relationships and mentorships that are invaluable to their future endeavors. Students are finding that they CAN be in professions they never considered because they are now being challenged to discover their passions while developing self-worth; thus their high school experience becomes a positive, life-changing experience!
