My students are mostly minority students, many are immigrants or 1st generation. Most live in high poverty. They attend an inner city school, designed to help students achieve the goal of going to college. Most of these students will be the first in their family to go on to higher education. Some will be the first in their family to graduate from high school. Many have responsibilities outside of school, and are dedicated to working hard in Pre-Calculus to improve their future. They would be love to have these graphing calculators in order to help them be technologically proficient for the 21st century.
