Book Bins and Pocket Charts
Funded Oct 31, 2024Thank you so much for your donation to my classroom project! My classroom is much more organized and runs much more smoothly.
When you look at the pictures I sent, you will see that the class library looks beautiful and is easily accessible to the students. Each book bin is labeled with a picture so that the children know where each book belongs. The class is so full of excitement when it is time to exchange books. They are able to easily return and choose new books to go in their book baggies. The bins are sturdy and beautiful, and give my library a neat and uniformed look. I absolutely love how it looks!
The pocket charts are used during math time for our centers and help keep the classroom routines running smoothly. The children's names are placed in the pocket charts and are changed daily. The children use the 120 charts each day and it is one of their favorite centers.
The desk dividers help the students when they are taking tests so that they are not distracted or tempted to look at another child's work. The children absolutely love using them and love the beautiful colors.
Your gift to my classroom has made such an impact in almost every year every area of the students education. Not only has your gift affected the students that I am teaching this year, but it will affect every class that I teach in the future. I cannot thank you enough!”

A Library of Great Books Motivates Students to Read!
Funded Oct 7, 2024I can't thank you enough for your generosity. Your gift to my class has made such a difference in the children's interest in reading. The class was so excited to see the new books as they arrived in the classroom. They could not wait to choose which books they would read. After I organized the books into our library the children were given the book baggies labeled with their names. They were taught how to handle the books kindly so they would not get ruined. Each student was allowed to choose four books to put in their baggies.
I purchased hooks to attach to the sides of their desks to hang the baggies of books. The students can easily access their books, and the books are kept safe from being crammed into their desks. This keeps the books from being bent or torn. They are loving the new books and can't wait until reading time each day. The students even beg to read when they have completed math early and have extra time. The assortment of books allows for the different interests and reading levels I have in my class. There really is such a nice assortment that there is a book that interests each child. Each week the children are allowed to go book shopping to change out their books. This is such an exciting time for them.
This new library has made my teaching so much easier. When I am looking to teach on a subject, I can easily find the book I need. What a difference these books have made in my classroom. I absolutely love how my students are loving reading and becoming better readers. Thank you with all my heart!”

They are ordering the letters of the alphabet, matching words to pictures, putting words together to make sentences, and also matching math facts to answers. The supplies you sent, allow me to differentiate the education for each student according to their individualized needs. The children love using them and cannot wait for centers time. Funded Oct 23, 2020I can't thank you enough for your donation to my project!! When the children received the sand and Play-Doh tools they were overjoyed! I teach a group of remote preschoolers who attend school at home each day on the computer this year.
Being able to give the students items that would allow them to have fun as they learn and build fine motor skills is priceless. The students are excited each day I tell them that they will be using the sand or tools in our lessons. The families are thrilled to have trays where the children can play with their sand and Play-Doh. It helps to keep their homes clean and makes the families more willing to let their children explore these items throughout the day. We also use these trays when we do art projects, experiments and other messy activities.
What a great gift you have given these children and families. Your gift has made such a difference in how these children are learning and has created a group of happy students! Thank you so much!”

Funded Dec 27, 2019Thank you so much for your contribution to my classroom! I am sorry that it took me so long to write to you! My camera and permission slips were left in my classroom and I was unable to access them due to schools closing because of the coronavirus. As you can see from the pictures the children absolutely loved the items you donated! The children worked together with the magnetic pattern blocks to build structures. They used the light table with the pattern blocks since the pattern blocks were transparent! This activity was a big hit!
I placed the mailbox on the table in our art center. The children created letters and pictures and pretended to mail them to their families. It is amazing to see how this mailbox motivated the children to write. They copied words and were writing letters all over their papers!
I made a board for the locks to be attached to. The children worked together as pairs or in small groups to find the keys that matched each lock. Not only did this activity help to reinforce their knowledge of letters and the sounds they make but it helped them to work together and develop their fine motor skills.
I cannot thank you enough for your generous donation to my class! The children loved learning while they played with these amazing toys! It was a shame that our school was closed due to the coronavirus. The children would have enjoyed using these items all year! When I return to work, hopefully in September, these items will be used daily. They can be easily cleaned and disinfected after each use. Once again thank you for your generosity! You helped my class love learning.”

"ARTrageous" Learners
Funded Nov 22, 2018I am so grateful to all the donors that funded this project. The children could not wait to see and use the materials. What an amazing impact this project has had on my class.
The Art center is well stocked and organized for the children to easily access the items on their own. Each day children are painting with finger paint, cutting with scissors, gluing fabric and paper mosaics as well as sequins on paper to create wonderful master pieces. The children are very proud of their work. These works of art are displayed throughout the classroom and in our hallway for all to see.
Not only has the project had an impact on the Art center in the classroom it has also added new life to the Play Dough center as well. The students are using the trays in the Play Dough center. The trays provide each student with a defined work place and help to keep the play dough contained and off the floor. Having defined work places in this center has prevented many conflicts in the classroom and clean up is so much easier. The children are so excited about cutting with the dough scissors and are unknowingly developing fine motor skills in the process. These supplies have made the Art and Play Dough centers very popular in our class. Thank you so much for making a difference in the education of my students for years to come.”

The Sound of Learning!
Funded Sep 7, 2018What an amazing gift you have given to the children in my Pre K class!! The two CD players are used all day long. One was placed in the listening center which allows the children to listen to books on tape helping them to develop comprehension skills. The other CD player was placed near our meeting area in our music center. Each day the children participate in music and movement activities. They are learning dances from different cultures from the multicultural CDs you sent. You can see in the pictures that they are having a great time!! The pictures show the children dancing a circle dance and a partner dance as well as individual dances using scarves. Not only have you provided them with exposure to different cultures you have given them the opportunity to develop listening skills and work cooperatively with their classmates. The children just love the musical instruments and use them each day during centers when they can access them on their own. We use the instruments during our music time and sometimes during our math lessons. We count as we shake the egg shakers or bang the rhythm sticks. I can truly tell you that your gift affects each part of our day in Pre K. I wish you could hear the joy in our classroom! Your gift will have an impact on my Pre K classroom for years to come!
