Great Readers Great Books
Funded Jan 6, 2022Thank you again for your support and donations. It has been a delight seeing my students enjoying these new books, especially, by Mo Willems and Pete the Cat texts.
We start our day by studying our words and consonants/vowels for the day so they have been learning to sound out words, blend and segment. My students are recognizing sight words and using the sounding out strategy when they read new books. For reading time we created a basket filled with the Mo Willems and Pete the Cat books where they can read either independently or with a partner. They get very excited when they do that!
We are very appreciative for this donations and support because our classroom library is growing with interesting and amazing books.”

Engaging Students in Remote Learning
Funded Aug 13, 2020My students and I are using the new resources by adapting to this new normal way of teaching. They are not physically using the whiteboard and the ePen but it has been easier for me when I check and write comments to their work. I also share and write my lessons on the whiteboard and my students copy with an excitement. I can see that even though we are away from each other they feel that they are at school in their classrooms.
My students are happy and eager everyday to learn. I can feel that they are very motivated and enthusiastic whenever I write on the board; they feel like they are part of each lesson and when they check their feedback they can see my handwriting instead of just typing comments.
I am planning to hopefully ask for students' materials such as books and drawing supplies because they love to read and they are very creative! I know that they are having difficulties finding books at home and drawing supplies to express their creativity.”

This classroom project was brought to life by Kleenex Brand and 2 other donors.Enhancing Literature through Books and Technology
Funded Feb 27, 2015My students were very excited and thankful when they received the books, laptops and printer.
My students will use the resources in the classroom when they go to their different reading groups and classroom library. In addition, they will use the laptops and printer when they write their own stories.
This project will be a very successful one for my students' learning. They will grow as readers and writers and will be exposed to different cultures using graphic novels. This is a very motivated way of learning about different biographies and culture. Also, this is an innovated way to become more enthusiastic in their everyday learning. This will really be a successful teaching experience for my students and me as their teacher.
Thank you again for your generosity in funding my project.”

Lets All Become Aware of Different Cultures
Funded May 24, 2013This is to demonstrate how thankful we are for your donation to my classroom. The books and video camera that you donated had helped increase my students' motivation when working in groups. It had also enhance their ability to work with technology. My students had become aware of their own and other cultures' traditions and folktales. Within these books, they were able to find similarities among themselves. The books and video camera are used in my third grade class and they will be used again and again.
Again thank you for your donation, our school is currently facing a budget cut, so without your aid, my students would never have these resources available for communities around the world or other lessons.
With donors like you, thousands of classrooms in the United States benefit from your generosity.”
