"Wee" Little Ones Can Touch
Funded Dec 29, 2017I wanted to express my gratitude to you for donating these wonderful IPads for our students. The students in my class are learning lots of academic skills that our programs has to offer. They are learning in the most fun and exciting ways. We have lots of math, literacy, and science programs on the IPads. They are learning how to count, measure and add on the math apps and learning to read simple words on the literacy apps. They are also discovering the world through the science apps. They look forward to time that they can spend on the IPads.”

This classroom project was brought to life by PNC Grow Up Great® and 3 other donors.Little Chef
Funded Mar 30, 2016Thank you so much for the wonderful "Little Chef" package we received. The boys and girls are using the costumes to create their own little bakeries and Pizzerias. We made our very own pizza with the children and let the children watch how they were being baked in the oven we received. After reading the book, Vegetable Soup, we had a great time making our very own vegetable soup using the skillet. The children are really enjoying the items and becoming true "Little Chefs". They are so proud of all of the creations that they were able to imagine using all the items. Thank you.”

This classroom project was brought to life by Orkin and 8 other donors.Toys for Tots
Funded Jan 10, 2015My students were thrilled when I opened up the new toys for them to play with. They didn't know which toy to play with first. The expressions on their little faces were priceless. My students used their wild imaginations to create different things. The toys helped them use their critical thinking skills to set up some of the toys. They learned how to work together with other students to build the toys. I would sometimes observe them and hear one child tell the others, "we have to work together." As they played with the toys the construction of each toy got more sophisticated and complicated. It was truly amazing to see my students grow academically and intellectually.”

Creative Arts for Young Children
Funded May 6, 2014We thank from the bottom of our hearts for the great pieces of furniture that you got for us. It is so helpful to be able to paint on the easel that is easy to reach for their little bodies. The children are able to express our imagination by painting on the easel that you got for us.
You also gave us a place where we can access all our art supplies with ease. This makes it easier for the children to choose what they would like to use to express their ideas and thoughts. They are able to create a special projects for their families, classmates or even sometimes to the teachers!!! We are able to store things such as feathers, pipe cleaners and collage materials.
The Writing Center you donated is such a pleasure to use. The children enjoy writing and creating projects that help further their educational needs. each child is able to use it at their own pace to help further their education. Its so nice and new that it invites even the children that have no resources at home to help them further their education. The colored pencils are stored on top of the center for all the children to use.
Thank you so much for most generous donation. It is so appreciated by all.”

Pre-Kindregarten becomes Tech Savvy
Funded Jul 6, 2012We want to thank you for your generous donation to our classroom. The ipod's you donated are a great tool to help our students enrich their academic skills. Our students use them to become proficient in math skills, reading skills, and social-emotional skills.
Many of our students come from poor homes and homes that are limited in the English language. Many of these families don't have the resources to know how to encourage or help their children further their education The skills that they are able to practice are a wonderful base for their future education.
Thank you for giving our students a chance at success even at their young age.”
With gratitude,
Mrs. H.
