Healthy Juicing and Snacking when Creating our Computer Science Apps
Funded Oct 31, 2024Thanks again for supporting our "Healthy Juicing and Snacking when Creating our Computer Science Apps". As you can imagine that our students need various stimulation to have their creativity and ideas flowing when making their Micro:Bits apps. This project has kept them hydrated with healthy and nutritious juices made from pineapples, apples, bananas, pears, tomatoes, cucumbers, etc donated from the school cafeteria and the juicer from you. The snacks we received are wonderful including energy bars, popcorns, chips, candies, cheez-it, gold fish, animal crackers, etc.
All the members of our computer science club are very grateful to your donation. We have sent a package of gratitude cards to DonorsChoose expressing our thankfulness. When we meet every week, our students continue to brainstorm ideas on how to create their apps while we made our juices and pick available snacks, which are plentiful to choose from. It means a lot to our students.
Each student has created at least one Micro:Bits block-based project so far with their original design in a magnet. Our students have also worked on cybersecurity related topics and wrote public announcement scripts and research report on the issues. We are going to continue in this direction, making Micro:Bits apps while learning about cybersecurity topics. We look forward to share our success to anyone who is interested in doing the same.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Shum
