Funded Mar 1, 2019Thank you so much for your generosity. Since we began using materials in my classroom, cell phone use significantly decreased. The students were able to plug their phone into the charging stations during class in order to keep their batteries full (very important to the modern teenager). The headphones and wireless mice made accessing online lessons and content more seamless. Students were able to focus on their materials instead of being distracted by kids around them.
The Christmas lights and inspirational signs allowed me to keep our florescent overhead lights off most of the time which students enjoy. One student remarked that my room was the most comfortable and she enjoyed working in it.
Even the pencil sharpeners helped with classroom management since they work much better than my wall mounted one, kids were out of their seats less often which cuts down on disruptions.
