I serve low-income students in the Charlotte, NC area. Many of these children come from homes where technology is not accessible, and their parents work and do not have time to help them with school work. They have high potential, but they have an unfair disadvantage because of the lack of resources. Many of my students intend to go to college after school. Everyday, we discuss what year they will graduate and go to college (Class of 2024!). We even talk about colleges they want to go to after high school. I firmly believe that with support given to them in the classroom, proper resources, and access to technology, my students will be able to reach any dream that they can achieve.
