  • Exploring the World Around Us Through Sensory Integration!

    Thank you for your generosity in funding my classroom with new materials for my students. With the Sensory toys I was able to create a small space for my students to use when in need of calming down. We call it the "Calming Corner" Students are able to use this quiet space when they are having a difficult time during the school day.

    Students were smiling and excited when the corner was created. They have been able to transition using visual models and use visuals to request the need for the calm corner.”

  • Fostering Creativity!

    Thank you we are enjoying the craft supplies that were sent to us. Your generosity is greatly appreciated. My students have been using the paints for this month for various crafts for Valentines day. WE used the tissue paper to create a large heart filled with tissue paper and surrounded by the student's pictures.

    We plan on creating more beautiful projects now that spring is near. Students have been able to choose their colors individually when coloring, and are able to sort the crayons by color as the caddy is color coded.

  • Calming Our Bodies for Learning!

    Our classroom has been utilizing the materials donated throughout the day. The vests have helped our students regulate their bodies throughout the day. Students have been able to adjust to using these tools when needed.

    The weighted blankets have become a favorite during our quiet time. The kids will point to them when needed. It helps them take a nap faster during this time without adult assistance.
