  • Busy Birds

    Funded Dec 21, 2024

Busy birds is one of our most exciting projects to date! We love science and we are working on an animal unit right now. The kids are so happy to have the bird houses, the books and the bird seed. They are loving staring out the windows to see who comes to visit next!

They also love writing in the journals and reading the book of birds. This is all so fun and interesting to them. I have to call them away from the windows because they are enjoying it so much.

This project is definitely one that is so fun filled and such a great learning experience for all. I am loving it as well! Thank you so much for helping us out!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Bedard

  • The Lowell Writers Club

    Funded Oct 28, 2024

We have had such an amazing time working on our writing for our Lowell Writers club. We couldn't do it without you. Having the gift of Donors Choose is so appreciated in our lives. We have been hard at work with our new pens and notebooks writing all about our city and it's neighborhoods. We are hoping to publish our books and have a book launch party at the end of the school year! We are so excited about writing, especially with our new materials. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts and wish everyone a wonderful holiday season!”

  • The Book Nook

    Funded Feb 25, 2024

We are so grateful for all of our new additions to our classroom providing us with a beautiful little reading corner that we all love and want to use every day. We love Donors Choose and we are so thankful to have such an amazing program that puts kids and teachers first.

As a 25 year teacher so much work goes into making our classroom a home away from home for students and that is what makes my heart happy, doing just that. It's not always easy financially as a teacher to pull that off so having Donor's Choose makes us feel so lucky and blessed every time we get a project funded.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Bedard

  • Rug for Our Readers

    Funded Dec 4, 2023

We are so happy with our beautiful new classroom rug. We couldn't have all of the amazing things we have in our classroom without Donors like you. You have been such a gift over the years. The students were so excited when they saw it and we couldn't wait to get rid of the old torn one we had been using for so long.

We are truly so grateful and we love spending our days in our home away from home. It is people like you who care enough to make a difference and you are truly doing that for so many students and teachers every year. We appreciate you more than you know and we wish you all the best in 2024. Changing lives one donation at a time.

    Thank you!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Bedard

  • Finding our Mindfulness

    Funded Oct 23, 2023

We cannot thank you enough for supplying our classroom with the most amazing additions to your yoga and mindfulness program. We try to practice yoga and mindfulness each and every day in our second grade classroom. It has helped us tremendously to learn the necessary skills to regulate our emotions.

We have been able to master these skills and even take them home to our families and practice with them as well.

We have seen so many students improve their well being and emotional state during some really difficult days over the last few years. We APPRECIATE YOU!”

    With gratitude,

  • Stuck In A Moment

    Funded Mar 19, 2022

This project is truly one of the more special projects that is near and dear to my heart. We have had an incredibly long 2 years in education and our students have really suffered emotionally. Anything I can do to make their days easier and their lives brighter while in the midst of a return to normalcy I will do. We have already started receiving packages and we are diving right into these amazing books, all while sharing our emotions, focusing on our mindfulness and yoga practices and becoming the best versions of ourselves that we can become in such trying, healing times.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Bedard

Our school is a beautiful inner city school in Lowell, Ma. We are a true family of about 500 students. Born and raised in this hard working Mill City, I currently teach 2nd grade to the most resilient group of kids I have had the honor of teaching. Many of them face challenges every day of their lives, but they do their best to embrace school and they know that we love them as our own. One of their favorite words is "PERSEVERE" and they do just that, every day. When they walk through the door of our classroom they manage to leave all of their hardships behind and begin their day with a smile. You can feel the support from one child to another as they help each other and lean on each other to develop long lasting support that we hope will leave the classroom with them when they move on. Inside our school we have built a home away from home for all 500 students. It's is a family. One Team. One Goal. No Limits.
