Due to many of my students being autistic and non-verbal, I would like to try and reach them through visual aides. Autistic children tend to enjoy using puppets and pictures to communicate and what, not a better way to tell a story using felt puppet pictures by using the Lakeshore Storytelling Kits - Set 1 and Tabletop Storytelling Board. This will hopefully also work and trying to keep them seated during circle time as well as engaged and participating. Using puzzles, like the Magnetic Color Maze, is also a great way to learn turn-taking as well as sorting and colors. Help us gain more materials to be able to reach out to our kids more. They need all that we can offer them because we are their voice.
