I currently have a very diverse mix in my 7th grade science class. I basically teach four classes of very diverse learners with kids from all socio-economic scales. I try to keep the students engaged by using a continuum of all teaching styles with an emphasis on inquiry-based science lessons. This project would especially engage the visual learners and by incorporating writing, increases the rigor of the project, esp. for those visual learners. The students will be required to present and write a report explaining their photo and how it relates to specific science principles.
