My students are sixth graders from Jamaica, Queens. It is the first year they attend Middle School but they are excited to learn and become independent in their learning. Our school has core values that resemble our culture: F.I.R.E which stands for Fellowship, Integrity, Resilience and Excellence. We are in a beautiful, new building but as a new school we still need a lot of resources. There are 6 students who have less than 2 years in the USA and about 14 students who have been in the USA for less than 4 years. There are about 7 ELL students who are also students with learning disabilities.
