My first grade students are up for any challenge. They want to succeed and are motivated to do well in school. They are motivated, intrinsically as well as extrinsically. They love to read, talk about stories and characters, explore with new math concepts and delve into the journey of learning in school. They meet every challenge head on and work together to meet goals. My students try their best at everything they do. They are helpful, caring, and kind to one another and are always eager to help others in need. They are thoughtful, generous, and respectful to everyone and everything they encounter. They are truly a special group of students. I want to expose them to materials that I am sadly certain they would otherwise not be exposed to other than at school.
