My students are Emotionally Disturbed with ADHD, ADD, Autism and Oppositional Defiant. Most my students are in foster care due to parents inability to care for them or have died when my students were young. My students attend a Title I, low income community school. They want to learn and want to please their teachers. My students do not understand why they struggle to complete or even do grade level work. The best part about my students are they try no matter what. They know they are not like their peers. I want to give them an edge to learn. This is why I need Amazon Fire Tablets. I want my students to learn through Minecraft something they know and like. My students deserve a chance to shine because they work just as hard or harder than general education students and they do not get the recognition for their hard work. If these Amazon Fires give them that edge, then why not?
