My students face an array of challenges on a daily basis. I have been blessed to teach students with social/emotional disabilities for the last 12 years. My students have a variety of disabilities, ranging from Asperger's Syndrome to Bipolar Disorder. My students attend a counseling enriched school, providing the support they need to successfully transition back to their home districts. My class in particular is on a general education campus, and my students have the opportunity to mainstream with their general education peers.
